You might find some cheap off-brand or house specialties if you shop around at the chains...not my personal preference or what I would choose, but if you've gotta have tires and don't have the money, I guess it's an option.
BFGoodrich Radial T/As are about $100 each give or take depending on size. Thats a pretty good price for the quality you get. Tires is an area I wouldnt skimp out on unless it was just to move the car back and forth for bodywork or something like that. You might wanna look at some Douglas tires, they are a very cheap, shitty quality tire but im not sure if they offer white lettering.
Having had both on the same car the Firestone Firehawks are a better tire look good and get better reviews than the BFG and are usually slightly cheaper. That said BFG makes more sizes and it looks like you have 14" Olds ralleys. If you want a muscle car look you can do the BFGs in a 25.4" tall 205/70/14 up front with a 25.6" tall 245/60/14 in the rear.
http://www.Tirerack.com has an average price of $103.50 per tire. They look bad arse on a black Cutty adds to the attitude. Wider than the ideal on the rear rim but keep the air pressure right and you won't have any problems with wear etc. If you know someone who has a Sam's Club membership you can usually get them there cheaper after you add the shipping price in at Tirerack. Plus you can get them mounted and balanced at Sams club cheap.
Awe man you gotta lose the hood ornament. Its a carryover from grandpas 70s boat.
I wanna do some 15" soft 8's. I wanna tire that can hold up to some burn outs and some street pass's. But I can't quite afford drag radials or anything with another kid on the way lol. I know burnt outs will kill any tire tho .
Tire rack probably has the best choices, depending on were you are in the country try checking with Discount tire. I have sold white letters from Bfgoodrich, Cooper, Goodyear, Firestone and Uniroyal. They each have off brands that can be found at most of the local tire stores in your area. I personally have to stick with the Bf, I am brand loyal to Michelin after seeing all the research they do.
In that case I would probably run the Firehawks in a 235/60/15 all the way around for the ability to rotate. $101 per tire. Good warranty also 5 year 55,000 free replacement first three years then prorated until 2/32" remaining depth. Naturally obvious burn outs evidence would void that.
