........sigh ....gaskets looked crappy to say the least ....rust, holes, and wavy ....I knew the heads had to be some kinda warped. any who I took the head in and had it pressure tested and resurfaced, new head and intake gaskets, put it back together and I can't get the rocker arms adjusted properly. Got it running sort of pulled the valve cover off and the oil is milky mind you I just changed it before I tried to start it. is this common, did I not flush it properly ? Any advice on the rocker arms as well ?

Don't oldsmobiles just require a torque value for the rockers? This is an Olds engine right? As far as the milk, that sucks. Is there milk on the dipstick? If the oil is milky I would change it and see if it gets better. If it doesn't your problem isn't fixed. If that were to be the case I would have to ask, how well did you clean up the block before putting the heads back on? Did you notice any pitting in the block, especially around any areas that looked crappy on the gasket?

Chevy 350, 95 one belt ......pitting you mean ? An area that's low ....then yeah I did were the old gaskets was rusted. I took a scraper and got it pretty clean also sealed the gaskets using high tack. no on the dipstick I pulled the valve cover off to see the valves as the moved, and the oil was coming up thru the pushrods clean then they just turned milky all of the sudden
