Who makes this? Is it custom? So awesome.

I am guessing those were probably made in the 80's and have most likely been discontinued for many years.
It kind of reminds of the fiberglass decklids that were made for Camaro's that made it a notchback.
They do still sell the fiberglass lids that are just flat and lift up.
 
i could be wrong but i dont think that is meant for a gbody el camino the big chrome bumper screams 1973 america had to be safe again

That reminds me of the Lotus Europa. Very nice looking car.

Thanks. I'm going to try to do some research to see if I can confirm your speculation. It would make sense. I'll post what I find. I think this is a super cool look, and would love to be able to have one!
 
Maybe if it was painted to match, but your rear vision must be seriously comprised and I really like the fishbowl view.

With this style of cap on the back on an El Camino, it looks remarkably like...a wagon. The British call a 2-door car with a hatchback, a 'shooting brake'. I guess the idea is to put the long guns in the back for the drive across the estate to where one shoots one's dinner. I suspect your guns will be under the hood...
