True and this causes ppl to not to buy the American cars. I'm actually the only person at my place of employment that drives American cars. Sad.

Where is the negative press?
The information posted is based on facts and data to back that information up would be readily available with a little bit of searching. I could understand you feeling this way if yahoo said that the toyota camry drives better than the Ford F-150. There is a difference in an opinion of what brand of car is better than another than one brand of car has sold better than another.
One is an opinion and one is a fact.
I don't personally own a foreign car at this time but I'm certainly not one that is gonna bash the next guy for owning one either. But then again I haven't checked to see where the parts on any of the cars I do own come from either. I have 2 Oldsmobiles, 3 Chevrolets and a Dudge.
And please tell me what news media doesn't put their own spin on things......

American, european, asian, italian, african, russian whatever they all break regardless. One makes a great car, they become a god, one makes on shitty car, everyone craps on them. I pick my cars by ease to work on. I have a 95 tahoe easy as pie to fix. It was made 35 miles from my house. So its american 😀

Your post is not negative. The press have been bashing US cars for years. They use to much gas, the fit and finish is not as good as imports, they break down all the time. I live on the West coast in Canada, I have freinds that live two houses over that are from PA.They drive a Volvo and like bashing/talking negative about my US made Van. Pepole just repeat what they hear and see . I like my USA/North America made Chevy truck and Oldsmoblie they can keep there Volvo :puke:
Not all models are good there is always a few cars/trucks that are not so good in every car makers line up. I'm sticking with US built cars .

Experience speaks louder than any press in the papers, tv.... Ive owned about 30 cars in my life, and 10 or so were foreign (j*) cars/trucks.... and the facts is, the foreign cars/trucks didnt break or leave me on the side of the road.....cant say the same about the other 20 domestics...and most of them had transmission failures/overheating/broken timing gears...etc. American car makers decided in about 1974 to start building low quality, high profit cars designed to break about 6yrs after purchase....and never looked back. Even the new cars today....look great, ride great, work great...for about 5 yrs....then they start falling apart...designed/engineered job security. The older I get, the older my cars get...lol

Foreign companies don't make American cars. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. I don't care where a Toyota or a Honda or a BMW is made, it's still a foreign car. The engineering, parts and sub-assemblies come from foreign countries, and the profits go back to foreign countries. When we went to war, it was the American companies that tooled up to build our fighting machines, and when we go to war again, the foreign countries won't have our best interest in mind. When the American car companies go out of business, the foreign companies will have no reason to build cars here anymore, and they'll move production back overseas like they did in other industries and jack the prices up because there won't be any domestic competition. It is of course to their benefit to muddy the waters on this subject, that's why they're all trying to present themselves as America-loving American companies. Screw them. This topic has been debated to death, there is only one outcome for me. I have not and will not ever own a vehicle manufactured by a foreign company, and I don't do business with companies or individuals that do.
