We've Figured Him Out

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.

These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to "protect us" from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.

There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.

Do you have healthcare. Is it yes or no. Guess what, I dont. To people like me who can't afford healthcare, not because i dont have a job but because my insurance has an extreme deductible. For godsake i am a civil servant and i cant get a decent coverage. Our decent insurer has a price set at $350 every two weeks. Thats just outragous for a guy who earns 24k a year before taxes. So of course his options look good to me. its possible just like you said, it's the hope that people are wanting in uncertain times. I dunno but i do respect your opinion...and guys....this is a decent topic. It can affect everyone and possibly tax everyone as well...

health care is not cheap, if you think you'll be getting the same kind but at a fraction of the cost under some universal healthcare plan you are seriously delusional.

i want everyone to have healthcare but i dont want the government to run it. how many complain abouit social security? how many complain about education? how many complain everything else the government runs, subsidizes funds or oversees?

and yet many of these same people want the government to give everyone free healthcare. well it wont be free and it wont be as good as private healthcare.

yes health care is expensive but your life and everyone else's we're dealing with, it takes a decade or longer for a specialist to do what they do. that takes a lot of time invested in learning. they should be compensated. new technology is not cheap, neither is the research for new medicines. its not cheap to build machines with the strictest tolerances and operating parameters. people who build those need skill and knowledge, those people need to get paid too.

hell i want something from nothing but realistically its not gonna happen.

the government running anything realistically turns into failure.

i can go on about this all day and why its horrible without even going into the two party side of this...suffice it to say the government as a whole doesnt work well enough for me to have any faith in a universal healthcare system for this country without having to mention what politican is pushing for it and who isnt. politics aside because this is health care we're talking about....I DONT WANT THE GOVERNMENT RUNNING IT.

the government isnt the answer, its the problem.

anyone ever been to the VA hospital? that's gov't run health care, and let me tell you IT SUCKS!!!!! nothing is done correct, quickly, or cheaply. technology? WHAT tech? sh*t, the VA is always behind the times and asking for more money. you think it'll be any different on a large scale?
then theres medicare and medicaid. they don't work either.
if they want to make healthcare cheaper they need to start by stopping the bullshit lawsuits. my friends wife works for an OB/GYN and each doc has a 1 million dollar malpractice policy.
yes i have health care, for the first time in 30yrs. i had to work to get it. every dumb *ss working at mcdonalds for minimum wage shouldn't have it on my dollar, i can barely afford mine.

In theory, I have heath insurance but it is pretty much worthless and I will not be renewing it at the end of the year. That being said, I do not support the government taking it over. It is just a bad idea that will put an end to new ideas and research. I may benefit from it in the immediate present, but that does not make it right. It is not right to steal money from one American and give it to another in hopes of "equalizing" things. Every country that has tried that model has failed or is in the process of failing. Do I wish I had a good medical plan? Sure I do. However, I realize that it is not possible for me to get one doing the job I do, and making about $20-25k a year. That is why I am back in school to hopefully get a degree that will enable me to become gainfully employed. What I make and how I live is my responsibility. It is not the responsibility of those in higher income brackets to take care of me. Yes, it could mean my early death, but that is the ultimate consequence of my lack of vision. Had I done well in school when I was younger I would not be in this situation. So, ultimately it is 100% my fault that I lack health insurance. It's not the fault of my employer or the government. It's my fault. The same goes for anyone else who lacks coverage. Sorry to be harsh, but it's just the truth.

There is such a thing as effectiveness by the goverment on healthcare related cost I.E. medicare. Most insurance companies have a 30% administration costs. While medicare, runs at 3%. That is effectiveness. But i understand I'm pushing one point at a time. I wish i could say more facts but i would have to get my lazy *ss up....lol..

To answer the question, yes I have health insurance. It is one of the main reasons I took the job I have. $8400 a year in premiums for health insurance does seem excessive. I believe I could do better but haven't tried.

Here are some of the crazy proposals on the agenda.

Contact your Representatives and let them know how you feel about this. We,
as
a country, cannot afford another 1000 page bill to go through congress
without
being read.
Another 500 pages to go. Highlighted are a few of the items that are down
right
unconstitutional.

. Page 22: Mandates audits of all employers that self-insure!
. Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
. Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits
you
get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
. Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for
you.
You will have no choice. None.
. Page 50: *All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free
healthcare services*.

durable
powers of attorney, etc. Mandatory. Appears to lock in estate taxes ahead
of
time.
*_. Page 425: Government provides approved list of end-of-life resources,
guiding you in death._*
. Page 427: Government mandates program that orders end-of-life treatment;
government dictates how your life ends.
. Page 429: *Advance Care Planning Consult will be used to dictate treatment
as
patient's health deteriorates. This can include an ORDER for end-of-life
plans.
An ORDER from the GOVERNMENT.*
_*. Page 430: Government will decide what level of treatments you may have
at
end-of-life.
*_. Page 469: Community-based Home Medical Services: more payoffs for ACORN.
. Page 472: Payments to Community-based organizations: more payoffs for
ACORN.
. Page 489: Government will cover marriage and family therapy. Government
intervenes in your marriage.
. Page 494: Government will cover mental health services: defining, creating
and
rationing those services.

If you think this is better, I'm sad for you. You might need to look into alternative employment that provides better insurance.

Where can you find the complete text of this bill? Myself and some co-workers want to be able to read it.
