stock suspension, stock rear end.
15x10 crager mags on the back
How wide of a tire will fit under the back of the car?
The rims currently have some shot 275 60r15's on them.
I havent tried to fit them, I'm just curious whut everyone has run.
I heard 245 was the biggest tire that would fit.

I have 255 x 60 x 15 on back of mine but I'm sure a 275 x 60 x 15 will fit because I have a lot of room left.

Thanks, and wow at a rust free gbody 🙁 I Need to source one downsouth hahaha
Nice rims too.
I'll post some pics of them on my rat rod when I fit them, I need to replace the tires afterwards anyways

I have had 275/60/15s on both Regals & Cutlasses but I have no idea what the backspaceing is on that wheel. Buy why are you asking us the anwer is to bolt em on and check. Don't forget sometimes you can roll the inside of the fender lip or use a spacer between the drum and the wheel. Also you can add an air bag inside your rear coil for a little room.

Yeah I had air shocks on my monte. They seemed to help a bit.
My car isn't here or I'd throw the wheels on, I just wanted to know what my options were because I'm tire shopping.
I'd never run a spacer on a drive axel.
My cutlass is sitting at my uncles house because my garage and driveway already have 2 unregistered fbodys, that I cant wait to get rid of.
Way off topic word to the wise, an Fbody will not fill the void of a missing gbody, no matter how many you buy.
haha

i run 275/60*15 daily

wheels

about what is the biggest size in a 15 or 16'' wheel that you can fit in the front wheel well without rubbing while turning normally and be wide enough for grip in the rear. then you can rotate them front to back etc. when you spin them down 🙂

assuming stock front suspension in the front with current 14'' wheels that need to go.

Its looking like 215 60r15s in the front for me.
Maybe 225's
I believe my cragers for the front are 15x8
Im going for the lean aswell, I always loved when the front sat lower then the back of the cars.

I ran a spacer for years never had a problem behind a strong motor and an abused car. But I would never again run proven poor technology air shocks. I do however run an air bag(s) in the rear coils.

Twisted, Who makes a 295/60/15? I want to run a 295/65/15 drag radial but it requires a frame notch.

I think they make a 245/60/14 for the front. Best you can get far as I know. 14s suck they are usually skinny rims and no tire real choices.
