Just curious as to whom has used a wideband for tuning and what your results were.

Tried tuning it without and then used a friends Innovative Motorsports AF gauge with data logger to tune. It's amazing how you think you can be good to go, but you are actually way off. AF data showed my car was ok at idle and putting around under 1/2 throttle, but as soon as it went to WOT it was not even close. The car felt ok, but that isn't what the AF data showed. It's reallt Sometbing you can miss without an AF gauge.

I WB tune damn near everything I have bought and owned. Wended in an addition bung, and use my LC1 with a craptop for logging.

I just got a wideband LC2 when I put a turbo on my car and I can't see tuning without one. Carb or efi tuning is a guess game without one.

If you still have the stock CCC system intact, you can use a dwell meter to set the A/F mixture. However the CCC only uses a narrow band O2 sensor so it is a bit limited.

So for those who have tuned with them; did any of you guys actually SEE any results ( better milage, better response, better track numbers etc ) once diled in with a wideband?

You can't help but see results - with a data logger you see exactly where you are rich-lean. It's still up to you to determine the fix in your carb (I assume) circuits. One of my friends car was laying down on the top end, he though it was leaning out he fattened it up - same thing. Used wideband w/ recorder and it showed good till the top of each gear where it goes fat - weird. Determined his carb was too close to the hood scoop and couldn't get the air in. At the same time seen it was lean off the line and went with bigger squirts. When fixed netted him 2 tenths.

Exactly. I have always had good results when I was done. Sometimes it was just fuel mileage, others were drivability problems. My bothers car had the same issue with the carb being too close to the hood on his supercharged car. We also had AE or accelerator pump tuning to do. All of this was blatantly obvious with the WBo2 hooked up.
