Looking at getting a set of C6 Z06 wheels and the rears are 12'', has anyone run this wide of a wheel on a g body?
The fronts are 9'' and i know that would fit no prob
I am going to say no on both F & R since both rims have a way too much backspace and are far too wide to fit on a Gbody without major modifications and would still need adapters, I say look for a set of rims that fit the car instead of attempting to make the car fit the rims.
12" wouldn't fit without a LOT of modification. I have 11" wide rims on mine and have a pretty large frame notch. There would be no frame left if I was to go an inch wider.
I have 9.5's on the front so the 9" wheel width would work fine but as mentioned, you're going to need adapters.

Agreed with stock rear end. and definitely on the front won't fit with out spacers. If you change to a wider rear end you could get them to fit with a standard frame notch. Out front typically 4.75 is max BS to clear and vettes have 7 to 7.5" of BS on the fronts
10" wide is the widest I would try on an untouched car. I ran a 15x10 with a 295/50 on a previous '80 regal. Driving down a relatively smooth road, no problem. Going over speed bumps or anything like it and I would have to hit it straight on and go slow. I could not get my finger between the frame and tire and the outside edge of the tread was right at the inside edge of the fender lip. There was no wiggle room either way.
