Wifes new ride

Our families 81 Delta 88 was the best car we ever owned, even better than our 75 Cutlass, cemented my love for Oldsmobile and their tough V8. Mom and Dad paid $500 in the early 90's, not quite as nice outside but a gem for $500. I found a stack of receipt's in the glove box from when the lady bought it in 82. No major work but tons oil changes and tune-ups. It had an Olds 307/TH250C, I got over 400,000 km on that drive train before the timing chain skipped. I should have put another chain in, the motor used a liter in 8000 km. Great riding and well built cars. What transmission? I am assuming the Olds 307 V8 for a motor.

My 84 had a 307 and a 2004r in it.

This car does not have overdrive but I do have three 2004r that need to be rebuilt so one day it could have one in it

nice score! I'm always kinda drawn to those old land barges, probably because my first car was a 74 impala.... a few of those have hit CL over the last few years, and have been tempted a couple times to go look at one...

turning your wife into a car person? priceless!

It took 10 years to get her really into cars but she was always ok with my hobby.

mine has always kinda rolled her eyes whenever I talked about dragging another home, or getting parts for the ones I already had. now she just looks at me and shrugs and says as long as my part of the bills are paid, and that I actually do something with said cars....
