For $100, I just picked up some semi-beat-up 14x7 SSII rally wheels with trim rings and all the chrome window thingies that go on the wheels. I'm going to sandblast them and paint them white, but will they fit a 1987 Cutlass?

Dude.. they'll fit. 😉

I'd be honored to bring this post back from the dead lol. I just tried putting 14x7 SSII's on my '88 Cutlass last night and the inside lip of the rims were scraping against the control arms in the front. The body style is the same as the '87. I'm going to pick up some 3/8" wheel spacers today to see how they work. Did you guys have to do anything like that?

What's the backspacing on those wheels?

I'd like to say the backspacing is 4.25" from what I've been reading but I'm not positive. I was running stock steel 14x6's and switched to Olds factory 14x7 SSII's which came off something in the 1969-1970 range. I put on some 1/4" spacers this weekend and it seemed to do the trick for the rims scraping in the front. The rears have been fine with no spacers so far. I was very surprised the fronts needed spacers but I guess that extra inch of width in the rim plus a wheel weight on the inside was too much to clear.
