ok so i ordered headlight bezels and a grill from 1981 el camino/malibu and i got the bezels in today and they dont fit without modification. i figured all single headlight el caminos would interchange with each other. the side marker light is too small and the inside turn indicator is too big are they different sizes and will the grill fit? thanks in advance

thanks man but the chrome is all gross on my bezels and i want a billet grill and the 1981 grill looks like it. im keeping the headlights and everything just some new chrome that doesent fit so well haha

Do you still have the '79 header panel on it, or have you switched to the '80-'81 type? They are different. Between the '78-'79 version and the '80-'81 type there is a difference.
I'm switching to an '81 header panel on my car. As you might know, the '80-'81 bezels are different. Although they look they look alike. '78-'79 bezels are the same...only the grilles are slightly different, but interchangeable.

the grills defiantly are not interchangeable from 1981 to 1978. i tried to put it on today and it didnt even come close to fitting

they are aftermarket but you can clearly see how far off they are
