Will these headers fit my g-body?

Dmax I am using the Hooker 2451 headers on my 79' Malibu with a 350/TH350 and the fit was tight as can be. I'm not sure if it's just this one passenger side header or they are all like this, but the 6th cylinder primary is about 1/4" away from the plug wire boot. I've burned one up already and for now they are barely hanging on. Trying to find a different set locally and try fitting them in there before I spend some money and get them coated and leave them in there for good. Also, the collector on the driver side touches the fuel vapor line that runs across the frame rail. Not a very good combo if I do say so myself

Dmax, I was running a set of Hooker #2451 ($380 in Summit) at first with no problems. Then when I switched to the AFR heads, had to run Hooker #2150 ($690 in Summit) since my AFR's are angle plug heads. The 2150's say they can't be run with a 168 tooth flexplate/flywheel, but I have a 168 tooth on my 406 (had to make a small dimple for the mini starter). Other than that they fit fine. Hope this helps

Thanks guys. Ya i will be running brodix track one aluminum heads which are angle plug heads. Just dont want to run into a bunch of fitment issuses. I remember ten years back i bought a set of cheap headers for my 1982 cutlass with a small block and what a pain in the but they were. I finally just went back to cast manifolds.

i got them same headers and issues. i had to bend the gas vapor line away from the tube and then covered it with heat reflective sleeving along with all plug boots, batt cable, starter wires, and transmission lines. the sh*t gets hot!? i did also have to use a 2ft long screw driver handled pry bar to dimple the primarys around some so i could get at all the bolts.

Yup I've got a friend with a 383 Monte with a set of I beleive Dynomax headers and he says he's never had any fitment issues. Figures.

I just got my 82 monte back from American racing headers they built me a set of 1 3/4 stepped header to 1 7/8 they will soon soon be available give them a call.and they fit great .

Hedman husler part # 65218 1 3/4" is what I run as have others clear heater box and manual clutch linkage. They also make a 1 7/8" version

I just got my set of 65218 Hustlers. Gotta take out the Hookers and test fit the 65218s and weld on the three bolt collector flange then send them to get coated.

I ordered mine with flanges. Plug fitmentioned was tight with straight plug profiler heads but a ball peen and torch solved that. You also have to notch the driver side clam she'll if still using them
