i have always been in to cutlass cars. since i was very young a few memebers of my family had them and i just loved the car... now that i am older i was able to buy one as a project car.. and so far so good.. i just dont understand why they dont make new parts for it. like the monte carlo?? did they at one point and just stop or whats the story behind it.. they seem like very popular cars. so im sure theres a reason i would just like to know. also is there any talk of anyone else starting to make new parts for the g-bodys???

I wonder if it had anything to do with the Olds division being closed? Maybe getting GM licensed stuff for the gbody Cutlass is a little bit more of a legal hassle than the Chevys. :Ihavenota****ingcluewhatIamtalkingabout:

Search some posts by me. We are in the midst of making all kinds of parts for these cars. The monte carlo parts are becoming readily available by the day.

A steel 2"-4" cowl induction hood for a Cutlass

it is expensive getting a licence to reproduce trademarked parts. The cars before the the G bodies have reproduction parts so the G bodies should be next in line. I don't who has the dies for the G bodies but I heard a Mexican company bought the dies and licences from GM for trucks and you can buy any part for the trucks from the 80's

Qdub,
Hit up http://www.glasstek.com/
they have 2", and 4" bolt on fiberglass hoods, lighter than steel

I know, but I don't want a fiberglass hood. Everyone that I've known w/one, has had it crack after a while. I specifically want a steel cowl induction hood.
