will 255/60/15 fit on the front of a stock 1988 Monte Carlo LS? I really want to go that size on all 4 corners (BFG's)......

I am going to say probably not on the front without either sticking out or rubbing on turns, most of the time people run that size on the rear and something smaller on the front like a 235/60.
Plus while that size will fit on something as small as a 15 x 7 rim it fits best on something more like a 8"-8.5" rim.

I would also say no. I had 235/60's on 15x7 wheels and they rubbed on full turns. If I had an IROC Z box i'm sure they wouldn't have rubbed. They were a good fit otherwise.

I have 235/60R15 on the front of my Regal and 275/60R15 on the back all the rims are 15" x 8" with 4.25" backspace.
Long ago I did run 245/60R15 on the front of my Monte with a 15" x 8" with 4" of backspace with no issues but it was also higher than it is now.

I'm trying to go as wide as I can on the front. I'm hearing that 235/60/15 is the safest option to keep the rubber under the fender and not rub
