Should fit. I had them on 10x15 Cragar steel wheels on my car . But i have , i think , springs out of a Caprice in the rear and did a little cutting...
But if it goes down in the rear very much , there is not much room left (had 5 persons in it and full tank).
Now i have 275-60-15 on 8x15 Draglites with 12mm spacers to clear the frame.
Problem could be , that the rear axle is not in the middle of the car , mine had an offset to the right of about 10 to 15 mm (about 0,5 inches).
So check that before !
Greets , Carsten

how do i check that out? also i have some snowflakes on it right now which have 4.5" backspacing and they are pretty close to the frame. i would like the tire to stick out like 0.5"-1" and ive talked to people and they told me to just use 275/60R15 will it fit. also should i use 4.5" backspacing or 4"?

The best way to fit the 295/50-15 tire is on an 8" wide wheel with 4" backspacing. They will fit fine as long as it is not lowered. As others have said, they will fit on a 3.5" backspacing wheel, but will rub on the fenderlip. Here is a pic of 295/50 on Corvette Rallye's 15x8 w/4" b.s. on one of my Malibu Wagon's from about 9yrs ago.
