Hey so for those of us who drive through the winters what are the tips to keeping the cars in good order. Wondering about how to get better heat out of the car without the thermostat needing changing.

Thanks guys, and yeah I have got the sand and the slimmer tires. I have yet to practice the sliding yet but I have felt what it was like in past with other rear wheel drive vehicles but I'll see what the Malibu is like thanks.beermonkey9417 said:letting the car warm up before ya turn the heat on, putting some sand bags in the trunk and using stock 14 or 15 inch rims with winter tires on them will help the tires cut through the snow and reach the pavement better. and go practice inna big parking lot, like practice getting out of spins or how to control yer sideways sliding. i used to put 250 lbs of play sand bags in the trunk of my mustang to get traction. oh and to get going in deep snow start in 2nd gear. hope that helps
