Doesn't take much for DOTs to go apeshit with road salt.

In PA if you walk out of a convenience store and drop your ICEE on the ground, PennDOT will send out a truck to salt the parking lot just to be safe. Use that salt up or lose it next year.

I wish I was still living out your way again this morning. We had 2" on the grass, 6" on everything metal. It sucked cleaning the truck off at 5:30 this morning. Atleast the roads were clear going to Johnstown.

I had to brush the car off the this morning too, it wasn't any 6" though. I thought I had put the snow brush away for good, I was pissed. Lol

I was in really snowy Montana this winter and was surprised how relatively not rusty all the winter beaters are up there. I dont think they use salt much. The cars in PA are so much worse.

Down here in Nc they seemed to dump a ridiculous unnecessary amount of roadsalt this last little 2 inch snow we had. Im guessing to get rid of their supply of salt they didnt use.

Given we have minimal snow and salt I keep cringing seeing nice classic cars out and about even though it hasnt been washed off yet. I think people here dont pay much attention to salt because its not a big factor and just say hey nice day let me take my ss nova out.

Salt is worse in warm temps as it becomes more reactive. It is a big tease when its warm and sunny out but the roads are still coated in salt. PA and other Mid-Alantic cars are likely worse than MO cars because of the warmer temps.

OK, this is getting ridiculous. The radio was talking about 8-12 coming this Saturday.

Just read accuweather and they said by end of next week we should be seeing normal temps. If not I'm moving to Arizona.
