I vowed to never drive my rust free El Camino in rain, which is a pretty tall order North of Seattle. I have missed several events already, and the season is fast approaching even though our weather seems stuck between, Winter and Spring. Since the ELCO will sometimes double as the second car, now that my wife's Saturn Astra decided that 215, 400 miles was enough; (engine codes and fuel pump and other issues). So time to replace the wiper linkage which was making the wipers sweep at different speeds. When I pulled the wiper arm on the driver's side, the gear was chewed up and missing about 25%. That makes the wiper sweep delayed and very fast.

It looks pretty straight forward, but I wanted to poll the pros and listen for do's and don'ts removing and installing the new parts. I have the parts so it is awaiting a non-rainy day. Any advice and cautions would be welcome. I suspect once I am done, it will not rain again until November!
