are they electric or mechanical gauges? and which ones specifically? every gauge is installed in a different way, but for the most part aftermarket gauges will replace the stock sender although most motors have two spots for each. water temp gauge will require the provided sender to be installed in the motor as well as the oil press gauge. ( be careful with mechanical oil press gauges, the cheap plastic tube they provide can crack easily) a volts gauge will require one switched ignition source as well as a ground. a tach requires one switched 12 volt source, one ground for the gauge one for the light one wire to the tach terminal on the distributor or tach output on any msd box ( depending upon ignition system) and then two seperate wires to clip IF it is anything but an 8 cylinder, clip one for a 6 and both for a 4. an air fuel ratio gauge is plugged directly into an 02 sensor, vac goes directly to a line and so on and so forth. as for the light most autometer gauges come with a 194 bulb you wire yourself, again one ground one 12 volt, you can wire them to a seperate switch or to your headlight switch. hope this helps, let me know.
