Would you keep a car that was involved in a murder?

Hey, it's not the vehicles fault! I would go ahead and fix it up. But I would make it look different from what it did before. You never know who may come looking to reclaim it down the line. Sorry to hear McKeesport is so ghetto nowadays. My family around there says that all the time. Do you know Blaho's shop on Walnut Street, right by the Boston Bridge? That's my cousin Scott's place. I have family all over the area.

Ha! Garrett traded me my cowl hood for a factory. Well there it is lol J/K. We are in Monongahela actually coming back. Nice little town. Not really familiar with McKeesport. Have a cousin in white oak. Car was in that crappy neighborhood between 30/22 by turtle Creek. Only one I found with no frame or wheel well rot.

dunno if I could. Trying to keep a long story short a guy I work with did a v8 swap and body mods ( convertible top, 5.0 drivetrain ) in a Mazda b2200. Proud as can be, showed me the polariods some time back. Told me sold it to a young kid in the early 90's when he got engaged. Last summer he seen a convertible mazda truck at the end of the driveway with a For Sale sign on it while taking back roads to the cottage. He stopped to check it out. Albeit a different color ( dark purple ), new white interior, new white top, it appeared to be his old truck. This guy could not believe his luck thinking he found his first car again and in such nice shape ! He went up to the house to talk to the owner. Nobody home so he left his number. As the story goes the owner calls him back a few days later and they get to talking. It turns out it was indeed his truck, and he could have it pretty cheap. But then the story unfolds..... Apparently within the year of purchase the kid he sold it to had repainted the truck the current colour and cleaned it up real nice. He told his parents he was going out for a cruise with his buddies one night. Somewhere along the way he got jacked, shot and killed in the truck. It was dumped and found with his body still in it some time later. Once the police had their way, insurance co gutted the interior, replaced the top and interior then gave it back to the parents. Its been in their garage for over 20 years and plates last stickered in the 90's. The mom is now very sick and cant stand the sight of the truck any more. Guy I work with is real superstitious and wont even return the calls of the current owner. Said he would not take the truck if they paid him. He said last time he went up that way to the truck was gone from the driveway too. I wonder if the current owner knows the backstory ?

Closest to superstitious about a car was when I was 10. Watched "Christine" late at night. My uncles got a free 1948 Dodge Truck while cleaning out a farm for a campground. Woke up saw this rusted Pyle running lights on. Walked down heard a radio and a door slam. No one in sight scared the living sh*t out of me. Stayed up all night with a zippo for a night light. 2O years later they wanted to see If the truck would start. They were passing a joint and saw me. Didn't want me being a nark. Lol

There was a murder in the house next door to me. Old guy cut up his wife because she "wouldn't make me lunch". I was working on my wagon in my driveway when I heard loud yelling from the woman. It was in a foreign language (Pakistani) and it sounded like she was yelling at kids. Definitely not "help help he's killing me". Then nothing until the son-in-law found the gruesome scene. Cop friend said it was the worst she had ever seen, and in NYC, that's saying something. Other renters at the time moved out, couldn't deal with it. Since then, no one mentions it, like it never happened. To this day I wonder if I heard her being murdered, or what. How's THAT for spooky?

Not sure if I would keep a murder car, I would definitely repaint the car a different color.

You guys are wusses lol! I got a buddy restoring an old RX7 that some dude commited suicide in. I actually went to school with the guy, he was 4 years ahead of me but I remember seeing the car in the school parking lot. The guy shot himself with a 22 and-not trying to be funny-you would be surprised how little blood there was. No exit wound or anything. Just a new seat cover needed. Im not sure I could do that knowing someone blew their brains out in that thing but it apparently didn't phase him.

83MONTESS, did you know that killers prefer the .22 just for that reason? It is such a small caliber it goes in and bounces around causing much damage. Usually it does not come back out. Very accurate too.

Personally, I'd keep the vehicle, though I would change some accents and possibly have it repainted. I wouldn't want to be mistaken for someone else...

almost bought a 79 GP years back when I had mine but it didn't have a roof! Guy that owned it had run under a semi truck and killed himself! My pop's said no don't buy a jinxed car!!
