I have way more than that in mine, and I have never even been able to drive it! So yeah, I would love to have one to ride in while I work on the other one.

If the door bottoms aren't coming apart at the seams and the paint is in good shape (does the paint go under the trim and include the inside of the door jambs), then the car WITHOUT wheels or drivetrain is worth $3200. A respectable repaint alsone is worth $5K.

have you seen the car in person... Something doesn't look right with the paint in the second picture, look at the door about halfway back the blue bleeds into the grey... Almost looks photoshoped

Wow. Check out the whole stable of pimpness in the background of the first photo. Money must come cheap to this person.

If you need an El Camino-shaped hole in the head badly enough, bring $3000 in hundreds, a friend, a flashlight and a creeper. Look down the body lengthwise to see if there are ripples from filler bandits. Look underneath for bubbles of rust. Nice paint over bondo over rot is a common thing to find 25 years later. Being just short in cash defines your max price, plus forces you to think twice how badly you want it.
