Well, i just found out about this site from MonteCarloSS site and thought i woud get it a look at and join. I have an 84 Monte Carlo SC right now. I have had 3 previous Montes before, 2 78 montes and another 84 monte. I am a die hard Monte addict. The wife says i eat sleep and dream of my car she also calls it the other woman. I am in the USMC currently in Afghanistan for 7 months. I have been stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC for 14 years. I can't wait to get back and start on the car and get back to racing it. Here is a pic of the car. I will post some vids of the car at the track in the general section so check it out. 8)

Welcome! Your car looks awesome! I like that console too!

Thanks all, the console is out of a 99 Pontiac Gt. I got it cause i was tired of not having a cup holder for my drinks and what not. It took me about an hour and a half to install it. I think the only mods aere that it is a 4 speed shifter. What i did was installed a set screw in the 4th gear notch on the shifter to keep it from going into 4th making it a 3 speed now. I had to flatten the tunnel a little to get it to sit falt and bolt to the cover. It has 2 cup holders and two accessory plugs in it. It sits pefect for my arm and shifts nice for the track. I have my line lock hidden in the little ashtray compartment and my nitrous activator switch is in a hole on the console exposed. It is the best mod i think i have done for it i get alot if compliments on it. I have influenced a few monte guys on MonteCarloss forum to install one in their cars.

The motor is a 406 hydraulic roller motor with Trick FLow heads with 10.5 comp. All forged with a Callies Compstar 4130 Forged crank and H beam rods and Forged Mahle pistons. The block was decked, plate honed, bored, sonic checked and line bored and then balanced. I have a .558 roller cam and victor jr intake a 750 Demon carb and complete MSD ignition. The motor is built for nitrous and is completely studed top and bottom. The transmission is a 350 turbo and a 3400 stall nitrous converter, and hardened sprag and shift kit. The rear is a stock 7.5 with 3.73 gears and Auburn posi. I run a 28x12.5x15 Mickey Thompson Streeet E.T at the track. I have UMI upper adjustable control arms and UMI single adjustable lower control arms. An air bag in the right rear spring and Lakewood drag shocks on all four corners, 90/10 front and 60/40 rear, Mooso trick springs on all four corners. That is the car in a nut shell. I pull a 1.7 sixty and have had the tires off the ground on my last two runs i made before coming to Afghanistan the highlight of the build so far.

When i get back i have a 12 bolt rear and strange full spool 4.10 gears and c-clip elims and 33 spline strange axels for it with a t/a girdle. An 830 Holley dp and electric water pump manual steering box and a 250 NOS plate kit to install. Lastley an 8pt cage for it. I am hoping for low 11's on motor and 10's on the bottle. I don't think it is out of my reach with these parts when i get back. Sorry fo rthe long post i just get carried away in describing the car. 😀

Good luck you will like the convenience of the console. I think it would all look good in your car. Can't wait to see the install and finished pics.
