OK, so I was looking through some older posts in here today when I (think) realized something that doesn't make sense.
OK, most of us know what the anti hop bars are. I currently have a set on my 7.5 rear. Now, correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.
- only meant for use on the stock rear ends
- not good for 350ish HP or more
- not to be used on any aftermarket rear because they are already designed to relocate the upper arms
So, what is the best thing to do in a high HP application? Run an 8.5 without the anti-hop bars, or run an aftermarket rear even though it has the upper mounts relocated? Or... is that why so many of the race cars I see run the B-body rears with the special trailing arms?
I'm not planning a swap any time soon. I'm just curious. 🙂
