That's totally awesome! Expect flack from Chevy guys, but laugh as you leave them in the dust! I think Hooker made A/G body headers for the Pontiac V-8's. They were about $400 but I don't know if they are still made. I have heard other headers might fit, like 2nd gen F body ones but I never tried it.

Ive got a 78 Monte Carlo and will be putting a Pontiac 455 in it. Guy at the racing shop is settin me up with my rear suspension and just got a ford 9 inch from quickperformance.com. My race shop guy told me GTO headers will fit in my car with that motor, maybe same for you so check it out. :D Hope this helps!

If you can't find ones that will fit, (been there done that), then these Ram Air manifolds are awesome and will fit with no problems and they flow just as good as headers but without all the hassles (gasket leaks, collector leaks, bent flanges, bottoming out on speed bumps, spark plug changes, rusty tubes. etc...etc..)
http://www.butlerperformance.com/produc ... amAir.html Or i could sell you a spare set of factory exhaust manifolds that i have laying around for a lot less.

I doubt they will fit, virtually all Pontiac V8 headers will fit all Pontiac V8's with the exception of the type of head port that you have ex. round port vs. "D" port heads, but it's not the problem fitting the headers on the motor, it's the problem of fitting the headers in the engine bay. The passengers side is no problem but the drivers side with the steering column is! Where is SHOTGUN>>??? he will surely chime in on this one, maybe he knows a set of headers that will fit a G body>>???

I have Hedman shorty headers on mine. Give me a minute and I'll dig up some pics. One fit great, the other I had to modify. You could also use Ram Air manifolds.

Okay, here we go.

Passenger side header. Fit fine in the car. No modifications required.

Driver's side. As shown, it hit the frame.

This is how I modified it to clear. Using 3" exhaust tubing I was able to change the angle, and extend the flange past the frame.

Now they fit fine. I made up some 3" downpipes for them and I have excellent ground clearance. I don't seem to have any in-car pics handy, though.
