I started rebuilding my 81 Malibu about 2 months ago I originally put it together when I was 15.. And 11 year later and after years of sitting outside here it goes, getting work done on weekends when I'm not on call..
I'm not one for big stories so I'll let the pics do the work.

So as of today I'm about to start working on the body, some mini tubs to match the frame section, the floors are surprisingly in good shape so not much to do there..... 700r4 I had built up back in the day is out getting a refresh and a new converter.

Still have to get some hard lines on the chassis then I'll sit it down on some rollers and get the motor/trans set in.. Go from there, an that's all I got for now 🙂 thanks eh!

the more i look on here and see the frame off rebuilds the more i want to do that with mine. but dont mind me askin, when you narrow the rear frame rails wat else needs to be modified and what width wheel can you fit under it

Wheel tub on the body for sure, I'm not 100% sure what I can fit on there... This is a first for me

ok cool. i have a 79 malibu im goin to start on soon. jus tryin to get everything rounded up for it

I'm admiring you fab skills, great job on that frame I bet it will handle like a dream.

Thanks guys, appreciate it! I get by with what I have.. 5 " grinder, welder and a tube bender.. I plan on getting more tools as I can save up.. Now that I've bought all the big ticket items for the bu besides wheels I can save a bit
