I wouldn't use that gasket. It is clearly not intended for this type of cylinderheads. If there's really hot exhaust gas coming through that hole, the gasket will soon burn and get destroyed by the heat, leaving you with a lot of other troubles... always use the propper gasket in a setup, even...

tried something similar once. results of it: the strap tore and the spring began to frolic around the shop like a kangaroo on extasy. Glad to be still alive and nobody got hurt. My advice: DON't use straps ^^ and don't use low-cost spring compressors either!
