Thank you for your comments guys. I take everyone's point of view and each post is useful to me.
The project: I'm about getting my Industrial Designer degree and me and other partners have decided to plan the design of some car accessories as part of a new idea of business. We select the...
Greetings guys!
As an Industrial Designer and G-Body owner enthusiast I'm glad to share with you that I'm in the beginning of a new project about G bodies. It’s a new business project and me and other collaborators are configuring a new product line specially designed for G-Body cars, so I...
These are pictures of a Mexican Malibu, base car straight six three speed manual column shifter, I wonder if there was another G body available with that configuration?? Enjoy!
Some old cars are more expensive than in USA just because people know they are rare and unique. Sometimes is cheaper import a car from the USA than buying a car from here in mint condition.
Yep. Some time ago I was wondering the same thing till I found that they call "Landau" to that luxury version and the vinyl roof was optional. Vinyl roof came in a package with moonroof and Pontiac steering wheel as well like this one which is currently for sale...
Hey guys. Well, I just come back to this site after a long absence with the intention to contribute. As I remember there was some controversy over Mexican montecarlo features and I'm bringing a good example of one of them.
The Monte Carlo was sold here from 1981 to 1984 and there were 2...
Your car looks great, how it does run?
Yes, I think your car was sold new in other country because you have the "normal" parking lights instead the european. Greetings!
Thank you to all, yep their colors are very alike and I try to keep that "all stock" look in both of them. See you around!
Gracias compa, es bueno leer a la banda! :)
I just finished a paint job to my '80 Malibu it took ten months to get done but I'm really pleased with it. Now I'm planning the rebuild of the engine :)
Im from Mexico, and yep, there was a SS package for 1984 with floor shifter, a very rare car to see theses days. I would keep it as much original as possible.
I have the same problem with my '81 malibu. I want to order a new dash pad cover to dixie montecarlo but I'm not sure what tone it is, my interior is the same color as yours.
My other car is this '81 survivor. Almost everything on this car is original including the 350 engine and the 4 speeds floor hurst shifter. This car was an old lady's ride who bought new then in 2010 she sold it to a used car seller which sold it to me in 2011.
