    Had to let her go...

Good way of looking at things. With current prices, I don’t think EVs are more economical than a gasser right now. I was lucky to get mine in 2020 before prices were astronomical so it’s definitely saved me some coin.

    Had to let her go...

Thanks! It’s an XSR700, it actually has the same engine as the MT07 if you’re familiar with that bike. Pretty torquey parallel twin, lot of fun haha. And man, would love to see pics of your rz350 if you have any

    Had to let her go...

Just sold my El Camino :/ It was time to let her go - feels bittersweet. On one hand, it's the car that started everything for me. Got me into cars, wrenching, learning how to do things by myself, all that. She was my first car, got me through high school, college, and was still my daily driver...

    Assault / home defense shotguns

The Judge is pretty sweet - would recommend swapping those FMJs for hollows if you want to cause some real damage, and also reduce the risk of shooting through your walls

+1 vote for a Mossberg 590 I have a 590 Retrograde, 20in barrel, holds 8+1, and has a bayonet mount (fits standard bayonets like M7s, M9s, OKC3S, etc.) Top mounted safety, easy to clean, inexpensive, and has never had a reliability issue for me. Have shot buck, bird, and slugs. If you don't...

Whelp..... progress? Hellcat engine to cease production after 2023 model.

Fellas Public chargers mainly exist so that you can use them on long drives and road trips, maybe you wanna stop for 15mins and use the bathroom and get a drink, or maybe you want to stop for an hour or two to sit down and eat and shop or something Most people charge their cars at home, so...

Whelp..... progress? Hellcat engine to cease production after 2023 model.

There are 3 types of utilities in the US: -Municipalities -Investor-owned -Cooperatives Municipalities (cities and towns) and Investor-owned (PG&E, PSEG, Exelon utilities, etc.) only exist to make money. Municipalities reinvest their revenue back into the area they serve (public works, roads...

Whelp..... progress? Hellcat engine to cease production after 2023 model.

After reading through this, it's reminding me of the LS Tesla-swap thread! Lot's of misinformation and/or misinformed users Few things: -The price of electric per kWh increasing even though our devices and appliances are more energy efficient? That's because there's more people around now then...

    Price matching rant

I ordered rims and tires for one of my cars a couple months ago from Tirerack, shipped to my driveway mounted and balanced. They'll install them for free too if you go to one of their stores but it was just more convenient for me to do it myself. Price I paid was either cheaper or on-par with...

    What are you drinking tonight?

The thought of drinking has me thinking about all of the cheap sh*t we drank in college, which reminds me of something- If you want a good laugh, please go to bumwine.com The dude who wrote all of the stuff on there sure has a way with words I think one of my favorites is the intro for Night...

What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2021]

Got some new shoes One of my old tires got a pinhole in the sidewall the gradually escalated to a tire that couldn't hold air for more than a few hours. Since the tires were coming towards the end of their lives anyway, just decided to get 4 new ones. I've been wanting some lightweight rims too...

    Are we toast?

Knowing this place, yes haha Everyone brought up good points about climate change. Just using logic, I would say that it is a long term problem, but maybe not as imminent as the media makes it out to be. I guess we'll see in 2050. Glad to hear others' points of views. Climate aside, one major...

    Are we toast?

You're right in that moving dirty production and manufacturing off of US soil isn't solving any climate issues. Whether the emissions and waste are produced in North America, Europe, Asia, etc. doesn't matter. It's all the same Earth The planet does have a natural climate cycle that it is...

    Are we toast?

I agree with you that correlation does not always imply causation. However, some things are just obvious. Yes, a car with a big motor, adequate drivetrain, sticky tires, and steering/suspension is fast. Yes, dumping trash and chemicals in the ocean, burning tires, cutting down trees, and...

    Are we toast?

I would say another rapidly growing problem in this world is the amount of "I did my own research" people. Yes, doing your own research is important. What's also important is not assuming that what you are reading is correct just because it isn't shown on mainstream media. The news doesn't...

    Are we toast?

Agreed that this starts at the top and works it's way down. The media focuses too much on getting Joe Schmo to go green while conveniently leaving out major corporations and billionaires.
