    2004r issue

Like the title says, i'm having an issue with my 2004r. It's the one I put in my Chevette. I drove it home from work the other day, shut it down for an hour or so, went back out and I have no gears. No reverse or drive gears, nothing. I verified my linkage didn't come off so I dropped the pan...

    Trick springs?

Which ones are you guys running? I cant weigh the car right now since it's buried in snow and the transmission is slipping. But while I have the money I need to get the springs ordered. So, just curious which rate spring your running and what you have done to the car(big block, small block, cast...

    Buick 455 ?'s

I had a customer today that was having issues with the rubber intake end seals pushing out on his 455. My first thought was to discard them and use RTV instead, same as I do with my sbc's. He wasn't to crazy about that idea, and I wasn't exactly sure if it would be fine on the Buick or not. So...

    '91 GMC Shortbed

Hated to give up my 4wd S10 Blazer but it just wasn't practical(like i've ever worried about that before) to keep around. It needed tires and the mileage sucked, and maybe I was just a little bored, lol. So I traded for this 1991 GMC Sierra. It's a 2wd, short bed. Currently powered by a 4.3 with...

    Head Gasket ?

I've got a set of steel head gaskets from Fel-Pro that I plan on using when I put my Vortec heads on my 350, to try to bump the compression a tad. My question is for anyone that has used them, did you use anything around the coolant passeges? Like an RTV or any other sealer? Thanks.

    Line-loc install question.

I know it should go between the prop valve and calipers but I also know that some of you have put it between the master cylinder and prop valve. So I guess the question is: For you guys that put it between the m/c and prop valve, how's it working for ya?

    V8 Chevette Daily Driver

Some of you may remember the S10 Blazer I got last year as my new dd. Well 14mpg is getting kinda old, so I have a new dd in the works. Hope to have it running in the next few weeks. It's not exactly what I had planned but things can always be changed. Hope you guys enjoy, I know some of you...

    Mechanical Fuel Pump vs. Gravity

After some recent events, haha. I decided to throw a video together to support my reasoning. I don't really expect this to change anyones mind, but I felt it was worth throwing out there. I do not want any name calling, fit throwing, or crying going on here. I also fully expect that if there is...

    Christmas Lights

I got this idea from another member on MalibuThunder after seeing his lights. It's the only decorations I have out this year. Hope you enjoy. Any of you have something like this?

    New Daily Driver

I know it's not a G Body but I also know alot of you guys are in to the S-series and/or 4wd's. It's nothin all that special, but I like it. Price was a little high for all the small stuff i've had to fix so far but oh well. It's a 92 S10 Blazer with a 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift...

    Holley Sucks!

Just a little rant. :D The last Blue pump I had the regulator that came with it hardly ever held it's set pressure. A lot of times i'd have to turn it on and off 6-7 times to get it to "catch". Then it finally burnt up. I got another pump and regulator earlier this year(I think it was), and...

    Local Car Show

Went to my hometown's lil car show today. Got some pics of the G body's that were there. Did a lil burnout at the end but got messed up by the guy that almost rear ended me. Had some horrible wheel hop too, to the point of losing one of the body mounts(frame is rough). Although my buddy in his...

    Tire Balance ?s

I haven't done my own balancing in a few years, so there may be some new ways of doing it. I know of static and dynamic, one of which invovles putting weights on the inside and outside of the rim, and the other meaning just on the inside, right? Well I just got my new rims back from being...

    Good day!

Just wanted to share that I had a really good day today. I had about a half hour to sit at home between getting off work and going to pick up my son. It just so happened that my daughter(just turned 10 months) decided to stand up in the middle of the romm and take her first steps. She got 2 1/2...

    New Rims

Woohoo! Just got my new rims today and thought I'd share. They are Coy's C5's in black chrome. And while I was taking pics, I figured i'd throw in some of my parts stash also. There's not a lot of parts but there will be a lot of work before I get to use them. There is also some aluminum...

    Tires?

Alright, who has the best deal on tires? New or used. I just bought a set on e-bay this week, but apperently failed inspection before they were shipped. The good is I didn't end up with junk tires. The bad is I could still use a set. I have some 255/45/18 but wanted wider and would have liked a...

    Olds 12 Bolt ?

I'm looking at a 12 bolt rear on craigslist. It came out of a 70 Oldsmobile Cutlass. I can see the cover is smooth, doesn't have the lip or bulge in it. Now my question is, is this the 12 bolt that is actually onll a 10 bolt?

I just got my new AFCO catalog and in it I seen they are offering a new drag link for the g-bodys. It is supposed to help with the bumpsteer issues. Just figured i'd give you guys that are trying to get better handling a heads up. Here's a link. http://www.afcoracing.com/new_website/n ... track.html

    What I did today

Just wanted to share what I did today. Set out to get some pics(maybe for the calendar). Pretty much finished off my tires. The car wasn't real happy with me, but it's still holding together. Thought I knew which way the wind was blowing. Thought wrong! So, I moved on to another place...
