1982 Buick sport coupe seat trim

I recently purchased an 82 regal sport coupe. The car is in pretty good shape all in all. I need to find some seat trim for the factory highback seats. The passenger seat back has been replaced with a cutlass chrome trimmed hinge variation. Is there a difference between a reclining and non reclining high back buick seat backs? And a better question is where can they be found? I seen a set on ebay. But my wife wouldn't allow me to trade my first born for them$$$$$$$

Actually, all gbodys used the oldsmobile style seats like yours has until '81-'82, so you just to find some non reclining seat backs from a 78-82 regal, monte, Grand Prix, Malibu, etc. Cutlass used those seats until '87 in non reclining. 78-87 cutlass supreme had non reclining. 78-87 salon, Calais & 88 supreme came w/ reclining. If you don't find any by spring, give me a PM & I'll get ya some.

Will the non reclining seat back bind if it is installed on a reclining seat? I am having a hell of a time finding any gbody guys up in Alberta or anybody that has parts for these cars(donors or pick n pull). Our dollar isn't doing that great and shipping gets expensive so I'm trying to find parts up here if I can. Not having much luck though.

Non reclining backs won't work on rec & vise versa.

Dang. I guess that limits me to 78-82 reclining seat backs. Were all 82+ cutlass trimmed with chrome hinge covers?

78-87 Cutlass Calais/Salon & 88 cutlass supreme classic had reclining w/ chrome hinge covers. 78-87 Cutlass Supreme had non reclining & no chrome hinge covers. Then like I was saying, the other gbodys generally used the Oldsmobile style non reclining style seats till 81 or 82; depending on which Gbody.
