So my 95 Blazer had a coolant leak coming for near the lower corner on the driver side from inside the fins. Now this wasnt a constant leak. It would Leak during warm-up but once the truck reached its normal operating temperature it would stop leaking. I was having NO problems overheating gauge has been working fine, its shows cold on initial start and warms up in a timely manner. So I changed the radiator flushed the system and refilled her up with new 50-50.

Here it is about a month into the new radiator and WTF same side where coolant goes out of the radiaator is leaking, a bit higher in the radiator fins but same area. There is nothing comming into contact with the radiator to cause the damage. I wondering what im missing.

I was thinking maybe a stuck thermostat that maybe built up pressure in the radiator but i should be overheating if that was the case, and i checked the passage to the overfloe and it is clear.

ANY IDEAS??? My warranty is still good on my radiator but i dont want to see this problem again. :blam:

Welcome to the wonderful world of the CHINA Blazer.

First it is the radiator then the water pump after that it will be the intake gasket followed by the heater core.

China gaskets and DEXCool don't mix. The material they made the gaskets out of react with the DEXCool in a negative way. They rot away at the cooling sysytem piece by piece. consider yourself lucky that you lasted so long without any problems.

Get a new radiator and get rid of the DEXCool ASAP!!!

Do a search on the Blazers you will see that 99% of people have this problem. Including myself.

Oh and after all that, your ignition switch will crap out on you. Another common problem with these cars.

If you ever do a tune up on it make sure you use an AC DELCO cap/rotor and coil. They do not like aftermaket ones.
