Battery Side Post Protectors

Were Battery Side Post Protectors used on the Monte Carlo SS or any other G-Body? I'm referring to the round cap that looks like it should snap around the post/bolt.

No, those are came about after the end of production of our cars. I grab them up when I can & added one to each my '81 & my boy's '79.

I got one on my 87SS. I pick'em up when I find them at the PicknPull I also have one (painted black) on the -

Concur. Production battery installations on all G-body cars were naked bolts.

Question on the bolts....were they plated? The ones I see listed on ebay look almost chrome (maybe clear zinc?). Mine are a more natural looking unplated metal color. Is the plating on my originals just "old" and oxidized?

Is it easy to replace the bolts?....if the nice and shiney is correct.
