Hello I am a new member from Elmore, OH. I own 2 1987 Cutlasses. A burgundy Supreme and a white Salon. The Supreme I bought when I was 15 and repainted it myself before I started driving. I've taken my driver's test in it, drove it to 2 proms and it was in my wedding party. The Salon was brought to Ohio by a friend of mine. He used to deal in specialty cars. He found it in North Carolina. He sold it to a guy who bought it for his 16 yr old son who beat the crap out of it in 96 for $8,000 and I bought it 2 years later for $2,000. It was just an old car to the kid.... I drove it through college and now it is setting in my barn awaiting restoration. It has the Cutlass GT stickers, hood scoop and spoiler on it, but it is not painted like the other GTs I've seen pictures of.
The Supreme I have repainted it twice, the second time to fix the mistakes a 15 yr old would make.... I replaced the 307 with a 350 Olds. The interior has been pretty much been redone and converted to buckets and ralley gages. I've also added Lightning Rods and the Hurst hood scoop. I have dubbed it an "SS", which is fun at car shows to hear people tell about the Cutlass SS's that they know about.... Future upgrades include a new exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and Hedman Hedders, and I also have a new stereo system to go in.
