hello peoples: This goes for all cars not just a TB. I saw something that said U can buy a slightly shorter SB belt for your TB. p/n GM12399983 Why would U want that? If your SB is questionable why not go to stock length. What do youz think

I can tell you why. Many of the aftermarket manufacturers list 640K6 (64.0 inch) as the belt for the 86 and 87 Turbo Buicks.
It's too long and results in the tensioner bottoming out and the belt slipping.
The correct size is 635K6 (63.5 inch)
That puts the tensioner where it needs to be which allows the belt to be tight enough.
