At our local yard there is a 99 yukon with a vortec 350 that knocks. The guy told me 100 bucks for the engine, computer and wiring harness. Is this a good deal? I was thinking about getting it to rebuild, what do u think? What about the heads would they be worth it? Thanks for the help

I think that's a good deal. The heads are worth at Least 150-200. I would do it and just rebuild it then could have a good motor. I wouldn't want the wiring harness but that's just me

ecu=$50-150
heads (as is)=$75/pair 200 with rebuild 300 with performance rebuild (higher lift springs)
the real question for the block is how scored the cylinder walls are. they may be fine, in which case the motor is fully rebuildable. the vortec blocks are decently strong, roller blocks, with very good intake flow.

Knock is probably a spun rod bearing.
