need help with brake issues

I am having brake issues with the front driver side on an 81 oldsmobile cutlass Calais. the brake goes on once im over 40mph and stays on, makes a rubbing noise and if I turn on a curve it pops and starts making a louder rubbing noise. I took off the wheel and checked everything removing the brake, rotor. everything checked out fine I only greased the bearings in the rotor and it still does it

from your description, it sounds like the caliper piston is sticking or you have some sort of restriction in the line

x2. sounds like a caliber sticking.replace it and you should be fine

any chance you twisted the brake hose?
