be careful taking rear ends from s-10s and s-10 blazers. I have an s-10 and I was told if I put in the rear end from a blazer my back spacing would have to change. Not a huge deal its just something to be noted.

Pretty sure any 7.5 gear set will work. However, you have a series 2 carrier and are wanting to put series 3 carrier gears in it. If you are going and looking for junk yard cars, you would have to take the whole carrier and gear set. Doing that requires you to get a carrier that accepts the same spline count as your current axles and I cannot tell you what carrier would work. I have never looked into it.

x2. You will need to stay with 88 or older to make sure the other vehicles have 26 spline axles. Or you could run a 3 series ring on a 2 series carrier by using a ring gear spacer.

Just make sure whatever gear you get it is for a series 2 carrier. Check out summitracing I believe they have some cheaper gears than richmond that are quality from what I hear.

As far as I know all 7.5 gears are the same (S-10/G-Body).The axles may be different, hence the posi unit will have to be the same as the unit/housing your using.
The 2 series carrier will accomadate up to a 2:73 gear. The 3 series will go 3:23,3:42,3:73 in the 7.5 rearends.
You can find aftermarket gears now that will fit on the 2 series carriers to allow the 3:23 to 3:73 gears.
And you can also buy a spacer plate with a little exta longer left-hand thread bolts to use the 3:23-4:11 gears on the 2 series carriers. To be honest I used the spacer plate in the past, and it saves you a whole lot of time and money trying to locate and buy a 3 series factory or aftermarket unit.

Are you capable of installing a ring and pinion set? Not trying to be a wiseass but it takes some skills and special tools or else getting a shop to do it. Swapping a whole rear with the desired ratio is cheaper and easier, but maybe not so available in Norway. If you have the tools and know-how,or don't mind paying a shop, then buying a new set of gears with correct installation kit is the way to go so the bearings and small parts are new.
