Currently a TH350 built up with a 2200 stall and a Built up Buick 355, and 268 cam. Going to , more than likely according to Brian at Gbody a 200r4 with the 3:73 rear end, he said we could put a 12" 2500 stall that the whole setup would jell together well and be fun to drive.

Just put some feelers up on the "wanted" section of the forum to see what the trans is worth.

Well today I found another 8.5 posi with 3:73 and maybe a drive shaft for $600.00. Choices....Maybe I'll buy them both!

I'll give brian a call and get one of the kits from him.

Buy them both and send one on up here to Antwerp, lol.

I think I am going to buy 3 or 4 of them. They seem to be plentiful in the Cincinnati market

Re: So I finally found a 8.5" rear 10 bolt from Grand Nation

Today I picked up my first 8.5, this one being a 3:42 posi from an 87 Grand National. I will be buying another 8.5 Friday from an 87 442 3:73 posi with a drive shaft so I will need to determine which gear will be better for me.

Some say with a 2500 stall it will be better than the 3:42. WHat is everyone's thoughts? I guess I have a pretty great decision to make over the next week

I will be putting a 200r4 from Extreme Automatics stage 1 as well.

your olds motor might like the 3.42 a little better from what ive heard alot of guys say. i personally kept the 3.42 in mine with the muncie 4 speed. now having the overdrive should make the 3.73 bearable on the street. whats your intended use of the car?
