On my local craigslist a guy is selling his 15" super stock wheels with white letter tires for a steal. He said they came off of a 72 Cutlass but I'm not sure that these were even the original wheels. Also he wasn't sure of the offset/backspacing
The specs he could give were that the tires were 255/60/15

On closer look it seems to read 290/60/15 for the tires, yikes!

Would this work on my 86 Cutlass? Thanks so much!

295/60 is a big tire. I'm betting it'll rub big time.
How wide is the rim? I hope they're not just stock 15x7's, cause if that's the case, 295/60 is way too big for that rim.

How big are the front tires?

The rims should fit like a glove. On my pics link you can see an flat black Cutlass with 14x6 Olds ralleys in front and the same 15x7 Olds ralleys in your pic on the back. 255/60/15 is a great size for the rear. There is a 295/50/15 but no 295/60 that I know of. 295s usually require a 15x8.

Thank you all for your feedback, its been much appreciated. I finally met the guy today, who mind you advertised the tires as brand new. I show up and the tires are balder than a baboon's *ss. Well, I'm mad for him having me sit 40 minutes in traffic, but hey I guess also my fault for not asking the condition of the tires. Well thanks again gents, maybe I'll get my 15" rallyes someday
