im building this cutlass to handle everything i throw at it and there will be a lot of gravel driving and i just dont want to worry about the paint.
i know its not the usual way to paint a car. But common man you cant tell me those cars dont look good for a $50 paint job:
and here is a close up on a trunk someone did:
plus the cars on the first page. im not saying this will ever go for a show car but i think it looks pretty damn good for a weekend cruiser.

its hard to say by looking at pics. i have seen alot of cars that look great online or in pics. but look really awful in person. they look good except for the mazda. it has quite a bit of orange peel in it. but if your on a budget, go for it. you can always repaint later on if you don't like it. i would still say go with a lighter/ brighter color though.vladj said:im building this cutlass to handle everything i throw at it and there will be a lot of gravel driving and i just dont want to worry about the paint.

the mazda owner just rolled the paint one 1 coat with out thinning it. its supposed to be thinned and be around 8- 10 coats.

If I had to pick from the list on the first page I would probably go with the Pistachio, sand, glacier blue or the light grey. But really you could make any of those colors look good. Just depends on what you are doing with the rest of the car. But the way I look at it, its your car. do what you want and what makes you happy. Forget what the hell we think unless one of us is gonna pay for itvladj said:

Whoa! Brought back from the dead.....did this car EVER get painted? Hate when threads just tail off without any closure, lol 
holly crap old thread. no car didnt get painted yet. i decided ill build it first then ill see what paint looks good on it.
