Good morning,

I have a 1980 cutlass supreme ...
I'm pulling it out of a 5 year hibernation.
I'm considering having it painted black this summer.
I'm wondering what size rims / rubber is the max I can put on it? What have you guys done on yours?
I'm also in the market for a clean chrome rear bumper if you know of any available?
Thanks for your time.

17X8 with 4.5 BS and 245/45 X 17 are a good fitting size. Not clown car big, but fill the wheel openings.

You'll get suggestions all over the map on this as 'tastes' vary just a wee bit.

How about info on the type of 'look' that you like: Pro-street? Drag Week? Ginormous 24" rollin' hooptie? NASCAR? Resto-mods? Pro-touring? Granny's grocery-getter special?

A lot would depend on what you are going to do with the car ,The "look" you want and your budget .

Haha true enough
2 things I like
Muscle with the white letters going around the wheel well but with a nice size rim on it or a bit gangster but looks sharp. Here are some images.
