Ideas to seal firewall hole

3M Strip Caulk will seal the hole but still allow you to remove anything if necessary, or if you decide to run anything else through the same hole later on. I keep a box of this stuff on hand in the shop at all times. When it runs low I get another. Case in point, I use it ALL the time. The link is to Wal-Mart. But the better auto part stores have it, especially if they also carry bodyshop supplies.

If you want to go all out, install a Weatherpack Bulkhead Connector ... Amazon has it in kit form -- ie, it includes an assortment of terminals -- but those terminals are kinda flimsy compared to those I picked-up on repairconnector.com, along with quality terminal crimpers and extra plugs. I used one of these to install power windows & power locks in the Mustang, a bit tricky to drill the holes for the mounting bolts but overall a good setup.

Google "bulkhead wire grommet"

Maybe one of these? You can cut it to size as to the number of wires running through it (3/8" - 1" bundle) or 9.5mm - 25.4 mm. Then wrap it tight with some self sealing tape for a bit of length to keep water out.

Just an idea.

that does look like a great set up but before I finished that project I'd be

just reuse stock grommet and bracket. i done that for my lt1 swap, cut old wires out put new in it and seal with rtv
looks and works like it was there from factory

I have a grommet in now but I do not want to seal the wire harness with rtv. I do not want to make it permanent

why not? you can put connector after grommet like it was from factory

if in future you decide add couple wires, reseal grommet would be less part of job than take half car apart in order to access that hole

in alt way you can put heat shrink wire tube (don't know proper english name for that thing sorry) on the end of a grommet to avoid using sealant but it looks same for me

like I posted in the first post I do not want to damage the Fast harnesses if I want to remove the set up

Maybe I would have seen that before all the wires were installed if I asked the question before I started the installation....... :blam:
