The Pioneer TS-A878's fit perfect in a Monte Carlo/Malibu dash. They have to sit in a certain way so the speaker wire clear the stuff below but they sit flush and the speaker grill covers it without issue.

Yes I had those in my Malibu too they fit those grills fine

Like I mentioned, we're in the "Cutlass exception to the rule" category. The grille area is super shallow unlike the other models. I'm gonna get the Kicker's, then bend the tabs to get them to sit lower.

Ok here is an update on the Kenwoods

They DO NOT fit!!!!!!!!

This stupid useless lip they put on it does not allow the speaker grill to sit flat on a Cutlass

Nope and nope.

I tried

Its actually glued to the cone so ripping it off rips the cone

I was going to trim it but , it is made out of a cardboardish material similar to the cone.

Even with a brand new razor it just keeps flexing and pulling on the cone
