This article is about a very pricey electric crate motor that uses Chevy motor mounts. Too expensive for me -- especially as the price doesn't include the batteries & other equipment needed to make the car go -- but a sign that affordable electric alternatives for engine swaps are on the horizon

I would mount it further back in the tunnel so factory the motor mounts would be too far forward. The only reason V8 engines aren't mounted in the tunnel is because they don't fit. This could.

I would put Batteries/controller in the engine compartment.

The idea of 500HP/800TQ and no exhaust note intrigues me greatly (imagine the shock of the guy you just passed), but not at 50K+ plus all the fabricating to make it work.

For 50k, you could probably get a decent Aerotech clone....
