There’s a long way to go on this one. Just got a 8.5 rear end too.

Would be great to find a set of factory gauges. The goof who owned it before smashed them out with a pry bar. Destroyed the bezel, cut out the brackets for the console, and butchered the wiring under the hood.

Just bought the Haynes manual to help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can find them on eBay sometimes, and also the Pontiac Bonneville has the same parts.

you can get GM service manuals from Dixie resto I think, def worth it IMO, also upgrade that steering shaft while your at it

Need to replace the rag joint. Planned to upgrade later. No real time to hang out at a wrecker to pull Astro parts…. Can you recommend a place to buy the shafts from.
