Aftermarket Transmission Crossmembers: 'Lightened' Versions vs Older

This factory transmission cross member came from a '78 Cutlass Supreme and has been washed, blasted, and powder coated. It is completely unmodified in any way. Free of all debris including the blast media it weighs 16.8 pounds.
Didn't see this yesterday so Thanks for the data. In summary:

Original GM transmission x-member: 17# (w/o hardware)
'Jegster' GM OD x-member: 13.8# (w/o hardware)
Summit Lightened/Laser cut: 20.5# (including hardware)
g-Force style/aftermarket equivalent: 33# (w/o hardware)

The lightened Laser-cut model is def a decent option if needing/opting for an aftermarket trans x-member.

I did a test fit over the past weekend & it aligns well w/the OE 1978 GM frame holes. It did contact the 'ribbing' pressed into the floorboard pans on both sides of my car @ 52k miles on the 47yr old chassis/body bushings.

Nobody asked about this one specifically, but FWIW

I have the Jegs crossmember in my Regal, it's a nice piece for the price (got mine on sale) and worked well with the SBC but the spacing for the exhaust would never work for my BBC, since it goes straight back off the collector.
