Its believable to me that M-20 could now just be the designation code for a 4sp. I was just told that M-20 stood for muncie and made sense to me because of the M. What does Saginaw mean? Where Its made?

I am hoping it is a factory 4 speed, from what I know, they did make some and I hope mine is one of them. Just hard to verify without a build sheet.

Thanks for the compliment, It is fun to drive, It does show well but I do have to replace the rusted out hood and was thinking of putting a steel cowl hood on. Gotta fix a little area on the tailgate where there is a dent. The rest of the body seems rust free.

Yes, mine has a factory Tach and has a 2bbl, really a weird car, bare bones other than for some reason It has factory air. Its radio delete crank windows, hell the back door windows dont even open or even have cranks.

Its pretty cool, gotta do a few things to It. Had the seats and carpet out to get rid of a smell but didnt find a build sheet. AJ

Thanks Brian, Im AJ. I actually had the seats and carpets out and some plastics, bu no build sheet. Havent looked everywhere yet. There is a Z in the vin which I believe is the plant code but I dont know what or where that is.

The cowl hood looks great. I have a 78 and thinking of doing the same. It looks like your is steel and thats the way I would go. Was it hard to fit or did it fit well with no real issues or modifications.

Just picked up this 78 305 2bbl, 4sp, radio delete with 82k miles. I bought it because It looked to be a factory 4 speed and I was wondering how I can verify this. It has some M-20 badging on the inside and has no radio, infact It has a panel there with no radio just heater, a/c control and a...
