MONTE CARLO Driveline Vibration (I suspect)

86SS, 90k miles, original, no accidents. It's always had vibration from 55 mph up since I've owned it 5 years now with the original Goodyears and now the road force balanced new Coopers. The vibration makes the dome lamp housing buzz. Some observations and comments: rear u joint replaced 5 years...

The Bronze Brick a Very Unusual 9C1

Yes, we are just temporary caretakers of our possessions. We all have stories of cars we've built up, restored and just babied and then sell to someone with a totally different vision of it. Moral of the story - enjoy it while you own it.

    Adjustable Upper Rear Control Arms

I attempted that by videoing the rear tires while sitting inside. I'll need to repeat that test with someone else operating the throttle.

    Adjustable Upper Rear Control Arms

I've owned it for over three years, now at 90K miles, and it's always had vibration.

    Adjustable Upper Rear Control Arms

Re: vibration - body mounts replaced, wheels spun to check for wobble and tire run out, body and frame show no signs of damage or repair, rear tires rebalanced, U joints recent, trans tailshaft bushing new. I can not verify the drums and driveshaft are in balance. No weights appear to be...

    Adjustable Upper Rear Control Arms

Help me spend my money wisely and looking to update a little at a time. 1986 SS, stock for now. Looking at the Hotchkiss system. I would eventually hope to update the suspension systems. I wonder if I should start with the (adjustable)upper rear control arms? I get high speed,(60 mph+) vibration...
