Well, it looks like this project is a no-go. Went by the old guy's place with cash in hand today, but he jumped the price from $150 to $350 as soon as I started talking to him, after we had already agreed on $150 for the complete motor. :x

I may be buying a running 472" Caddy motor this weekend and I'm wondering how easy it would be to stick that in my Cutlass?

Fixed my brakelights tonight, it was the switch. Kind of a pain in the *ss to get to, though...even for a guy my size! :lol: Now, I've got to hunt up a new trans, this one (I think it is a TH200) is CTD. 3rd gear is getting to be hit or miss. :x

Ah, I understand now. :lol: It gets hot here in Washington too, but not unbearably so.

I don't particularly mind the heat either (the AC in my Cutlass blows lukewarm at best) and I like having LOTS of room in my engine compartment. My car is NOT going to be a stripped-down drag car, but I know what I will and will not use. Air conditioning is definately on the latter list.

I want to remove my air conditioning stuff. Is there anything besides unbolt and remove that I need to do? Electrical? I've never had a vehicle with AC and I don't plan on starting now. :lol: Besides, gotta get rid of this stuff to make room for a larger motor.

Finally got it. $300 after title transfer, a half-tank of gas and road munchies, drove it home in the dark with no brakelights. :lol:

Yeah, keeping a motor tame is always a problem...and I have no idea how I'm going to manage it. :lol: Picking up the Cutlass didn't happen tonight, couldn't get out of work early enough to transfer the title. Should be able to get it done tomorrow, since I go back to 8hr days at work.

Paid for the Cutlass tonight, couldn't bring it home though. Expired tabs. The guy threw in an old pair of 15x7 Cragar SS rims because of that, though. The V6 is pretty anemic compared to what I am used to, I can't wait to start building a smallblock (SBC or SBO) for it!

It is kind of a beater right now. :lol: Looks like I take delivery on Monday evening.
