Yeah im wondering the same thing, i have a 78 regal. I live in jackson MS and ive only seen about 5 in like 10 years. They might have been 79s but only one of them looked worth a damn.. I think i got a very rare 78, everyone asks me to sell it n it doesnt look worth a damn..

hahaha yeah... i have a nice cutoff switcheroo too.. I upgraded my 200 transmission to a th350 and the link from the transmission to the column that lets me know what gear im in wouldnt fit so i yanked it out, bein i have a floor shifter no need.. so i can simply twist my column to d or whatever i want...

Yeah i got a 78 regal and my speedo works fine till i get to like 70 n sometimes it just rages n starts bouncin up n down.. also if im at 75 n accelerate quickly it shoots to 85 n i keep gainin speed n it drops back to 75? im thinkin its just a gear, someone told me its a gear inside the speedo...

yeah but i still drive like a maniac in my car sometimes.. and yeah i took the shifter out too, the seatbelt clip thing got knocked inside the console, but i pulled it out
